MPD Electric Cooperative and MDT Welcome Vice President of Corporate Tax Accounting

Florence, SC – MPD Electric Cooperative and Marlboro Development Team are pleased to welcome Jenny Secker to their team as Vice President of Corporate Tax Accounting.  She is a Certified Public Accountant bringing over 25 years of tax experience.

Secker served as Director at Webster Rogers, LLP since 2011 in Florence and Myrtle Beach handling large client relations and high net-worth individuals.  She also managed real estate development partnerships and restructuring agreements.

Prior to moving her family to South Carolina in 2011, Secker was employed as a Senior Tax Associate and Manager for firms in Dallas and Austin, Texas.  She is a member of the SCACPA and a Certified Public Accountant in both Texas and South Carolina.

Secker earned her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Professional Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin.  She and her husband Erik reside in Myrtle Beach and have two children in high school.

MPD was formed in 2020 through the merger of Marlboro Electric Cooperative and Pee Dee Electric Cooperative with the goal of creating joint economic benefits, long-term efficiencies and overall improved service for members residing in Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Lee, Marion, and Marlboro Counties.  MPD has numerous for-profit subsidiaries including a national commercial and industrial real estate development firm known as Marlboro Development Team (“MDT”) and oil company, MPD Energy.
